CHRISTIAN WOMEN'S JOB CORP MISSION UPDATE

Hello Grunt Girls!!!!!! The last mission for the Christian Women's Job Corp was a success. People opened their hearts and resources and plenty of supplies were gathered to help the Christian Women's Job Corp function at its best. The Grunt Girls will be donating the supplies to the Director Lil Abschner as a surprise on March 5, 2008. The Grunt Girls would like to thank every person and their families for taking the time and resources to donate supplies. The Grunt Girls also had the awesome opportunity to eat and fellowship on a beautiful Saturday afternoon as they gathered donations. We had so much fun! Thank you so much for showing Corpus Christi what a difference women can make. We hope to see you at the next mission coming to you soon.

Grunt Girls' Mission

Hello Grunt Girls! It's time again to spread the seed of God. The Texas Christian Women's Job Corps has given us a list of supplies that they are in great need of. We plan on making that happen. Let's show them we care, and that God cares! Please join us to gather supplies, fellowship and for refreshments on Saturday, March 1st at 3pm at Marta's house.

Items you can bring, include all office supplies, toiletries, kitchen and cleaning supplies . Here are some specific items requested: toilet paper, tampons, pads, hand soap, dish soap, trash bags, paper plates, cups, napkins, plastic ware, cleaning products, fans (because A/C doesn't work too well), pens, paper, markers, staplers, staples, paperclips, folders and drinks for the women (waters & sodas). These women need our help. If you can not attend the Saturday Social but have items you would like to donate, call Marta at #361-946-0100.

"Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver" 2 Corinthians 9:6-7.

JANE Presents the Compassion Team

Dear JANES!

As you may know, JANES has experienced some amazing growth over the past several months and we are working hard to keep up with all that God is doing! One of the goals we have had is to add a Compassion Team to our ministry that would grow and multiply mission groups. I am so excited to share with you that God has made that possible!

Marta Perez Gonzalez has accepted the position of the Compassion Team Coordinator and we are thrilled about her excitement and passion to serve you guys, the women of our church and this amazing community!

Missions is one of the most important facets of JANES. By organizing a team of mission-oriented groups, we hope to bring in more committed women of Bay Area to love on the women of our community by meeting their physical, spiritual, emotional and now, thanks to the Christian Women's Job Corp., vocational needs. Marta's experience and her passion for reaching out to these women is going to bring a unity and a focus to this team that I believe will transform the face of JANES.

Please welcome Marta and let her know how excited you are to have her on board. She has committed to pray for you and encourage you in the calling that God has placed on your life. I truly believe that this change is going to take our ministry to a whole new level!
